You are not alone. There are many brilliant services across Bradford and the wider region who understand what you have gone through and have the ability to help you in the way that you need.

The main organisation which helps people who experience domestic abuse in and around the Bradford District is called Survive and Thrive. It is a partnership of three charities: Staying Put, Family Action and WomenCentre. They help everybody who has experienced domestic abuse – regardless of your gender, your sexual orientation, or any other aspect of your situation. You can call them on 0808 2800 999, weekdays 9:30am-4:30pm. They also have a web chat which you can find on the Staying Put website.
However, if you feel more comfortable speaking with a charity who is more specific to your situation we have listed services for men only, for the LGBT+ community, for those experiencing forced marriage or ‘honour’ based abuse. Go with who feels right for you.

Find a Safe Spot
Safe Spot is a district-wide programme which offers a place where you can have access to a private room and a phone so you can contact either local or national helplines for support, or to speak confidentially to your family and friends.
