The 16 days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence is an annual international campaign that begins on 25 November and runs until 10 December. It was started by activists at the inaugural Women’s Global Leadership Institute in 1991 and continues to be coordinated each year by the Centre for Women’s Global Leadership. It is used as an organizing strategy by individuals and organizations around the world to call for the prevention and elimination of violence against women and girls.
There are multiple events happening across Bradford during these 16 days, and where some events are for specific sectors, there are several open to all who are interested, including the play You Are Here As A Witness, which has been co-created with survivors of domestic abuse following a series of recent interviews held with service users from the Anah Project.
Have a look at our Events Page to see details of each event, and links for tickets.
