There were 15581 domestic abuse incidents in Bradford, alone, in the year 2020. That’s around 43 incidents every single day. And they’re only the ones which were reported.
Domestic abuse is endemic in our society, and for so many people, it’s still taboo to talk about, meaning many victims suffer in silence.
Following the launch of the new Domestic Abuse Strategy by Bradford Council, it was felt there was a huge gap for a clear, easy-to-navigate resource for people who are looking for advice and support.
We set upon a project, pulling together as many resources as possible to create this website which we hope becomes the go-to place for information about domestic abuse and sexual violence services in the Bradford district.
We officially launched on 31st August, with our campaign Not Ok Never Ok #NoNo.
Domestic abuse is not ok. It is never ok.
